Per G. Stenvall

Per G. Stenvall is a partner and founder of Stenvall Skoeld & Company. Per advises Chinese companies on cross-border acquisitions and investments. His work with international clients focuses on China strategy development and execution, including organic, M&A and partnership strategies. He also advises general and limited partners in private equity on China-related investment. Per has led or advised on more than 50 cross-border acquisitions and investments.

Per has been based in China for 17 years, including seven years in general management and operational roles and 10 years in advisory and investment management roles. He was previously Director of due diligence and deal execution at China New Enterprise Investment, one of the first foreign-funded private equity houses to receive approval to manage RMB-denominated funds in China.

Earlier in his career, he was Principal Consultant and Beijing practice head with a German management consultancy, a role in which he advised foreign companies on China strategy and market entry. He was also the Beijing-based Regional Manager for the global M&A partnership of CDI Global, heading up their M&A advisory practice in northern and western China.

He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Queens College of the City University of New York, where he studied History and East Asian Studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oxford. He studied Chinese at the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei and speaks, reads and writes Mandarin Chinese. A native of Sweden, he currently resides in Shanghai.
