Initially, we work with our private equity client to develop a successful trade sale strategy. This could involve a sales process with an immediate start or a plan to exit at a later time following key actions aimed at increasing portfolio company value.
At the start of the sales process we build a list of high potential buyers worldwide. Specialized in cross border M&A between Asia and mature M&A markets including Europe, North America, and Japan, we leverage a truly global network of strategic buyers, private equity investors, and leading regional investment banks. This allows us to research a comprehensive, high-quality list of potential buyers and access them at the decision maker level.
We then produce an information memorandum (IM) on the company and send to potential buyers which have signed confidentially agreements based on a teaser presenting the opportunity. After generating non-binding bids we support the due diligence and negotiation process until a successful sale is completed.
Our approach allows our private equity clients to focus on their core activities while we manage the trade sale process.
